Meeting location:

Rutland Hotel, Glossop Road (near the Hallamshire Hospital). See maps.

Accomodation:

Please contact Carol Heathcote for help with hotel bookings.

Transportation:

A taxi from Manchester airport to the Rutland/Harley hotel is around £37 - sometimes that fare can be shared between three people. Carol Heathcote can arrange for a taxi to pick up at the airport, if you send her your flight number and arrival time.

There are regular trains from Manchester airport to Sheffield train station. Timetables:

Again there are taxis outside the railway station and they can take you to the Rutland or Harley. Or during the day, there are local buses which go past both the Harley and Rutland hotels. Between 07.00 and 18.00 the number 60 bus comes every 10 minutes and stops outside the rail station. It costs around 75 pence per person by bus and a taxi would cost you less than £5 for one or more persons travelling in the same cab. See maps.
